    在此背景下，主办方在人工智能顶会NeurISP 2022上设立了该 多模态 显微镜图像细胞分割竞赛。 主办方联合了全球十多个实验室累计收集了40多个不同 生物实验 的图像，是目前多样性最高的数据集，覆盖了常见的四种显微镜类型： 不懂这些图像类型也完全不影响参赛，比赛目的是聚集社区的力量开发出通用的显微镜图像细胞分割模型，因此不会提供每张图像具体的显微镜类型等元信息（meta data），只提供图像和对应的标签供参赛者开发模型。 训练集包含1000张标注好的图像块，以及1500多张无标注的图像。 该任务是典型的instance segmentation，参赛人员不需要任何生物学背景，只需要懂分割模型即可。 同时主办方也鼓励参赛者利用无标住的图像和公开的数据集来提升网络的 泛化性能。

    近日，深圳市大数据研究院医疗大数据实验室李灏峰博士团队在机器学习顶级会议NeurIPS 2022的CellSeg细胞图像分割比赛中荣获亚军。 CellSeg比赛全称为多模态高分辨率显微图像的弱监督细胞分割比赛（Weakly Supervised Cell Segmentation in Multi-modality High-Resolution Microscopy Images），由多伦多大学、洛桑联邦理工学院、欧洲生物信息研究所、美国博德研究所等机构合作举办，共吸引了韩国科学技术院、德国于利希研究中心、浙江大学、南京大学等超过100只队伍参赛。
